These lovely DIY solar jars were a quick and easy project. I have wanted to do try my hand at making them for EVER. Now that I am finally in a house with a yard, I can! I was delighted with how they turned out – the deck is so bright and adorable on these warm summer nights we’ve had lately…
Here are your basic supplies. You will need the following
• Cheap solar lights (hello Target!)
• Cheap jars with glass lids (hello dollar store!)
• Frosted glass spray. (This is optional, but it makes the light diffuse and the jars appear to give off more light)
• Plastic gloves.
• Paper, or something to protect working surfaces
Pull the jars apart and spray the inside of the bases (not the lids!) with the frosted glass. This took SEVERAL coats. I did probably 10-12 coats.
Take the solar lights apart and glue the solar part to the lid of the jar.
