Here’s a note for all you diy-ers out there. When the temperature outside is 4°C and it’s cloudy and the weather looks like it’s going to rain on you any second and you have a spray painting project that you’re thinking of doing, save yourself the trouble and don’t.
That’s what I was doing today. Spray painting in the alley in the centre of downtown Vancouver is tricky enough – you need quite an elaborate set up to keep the paint from getting everywhere (and to make yourself inconspicuous). But when it is that cold and windy, the material you are painting just doesn’t dry. This simple project took me a looong time.
Anyway, here are my partially transformed mustard and pickle jars. They are going to play a key role in the packaging of a gift for a special lady on Thursday. Can’t say anymore, though, in case she reads this and I give myself away!
