Attention to Ceilings
Considering how large and dominant they are, ceilings are often left untreated and unloved in homes. And yet, with just a little thought, they can add such a huge impact to a room. Of course, there are lots of expensive and labour-intensive ways to dress them up such as adding beams or moulding. But simply painting or covering it in a bold wallpaper can be equally effective. (Having said that, crown moulding is an obsession of mine. But that’s for another day).
Alas, I am living in a rented space and my hands are tied. I can but dream of beautiful spaces above my head…
